Episode 109 – Space Grease, Japanese Rock and Peanut Snacks

Elizabeth and Phoebe talk to Dad about World UFO Day, Elizabeth’s Birthday, Koko the Gorilla, Elizabeth’s cats, Phoebe’s upcoming time home alone, and Phoebe’s calligraphy.  The girls and Dad have a quick session of What You Listening To?  (Dad’s pick: the Japanese punk pop band Lucie, Too; Phoebe: new Julien Baker song, Distant Solar System; Elizabeth: Japanese band The Pillows).  In the News, there are stories about space grease, a 44 year-old parking ticket, and brain therapy for violent criminals.  The girls play a round of Mystery Movie Minute and make up plots to movies they have never seen.  In Treat Yourself, the podcast samples some peanut-based snakes including the Israeli snack Bamba, Planters Cruncher Peanuts (salt and pepper, hot n’ spicy flavors) and Doritos Crunch Nuts (in nacho cheese and cool ranch flavors).
